Volunteering abroad is an amazing experience for students looking to travel the world and make a difference in people’s lives. College is a great time to become involved in life changing experiences such as volunteering abroad, but there are some things to think about before getting started.

When going abroad a big thing to think about is personal interest. Volunteering abroad will have many positive benefits to an individual as far as personal growth, cultural diversity, language skills and career related experiences.

The impacts of volunteering abroad expand far beyond personal impact however. By volunteering abroad you can provide education, long-term support, and life changing connections. If you choose the right program and use your skills to help those in need, your potential for impact is limitless.

Volunteering abroad could be the best experience of your life. You should ask yourself, what do I want to do while abroad? Every opportunity is a little different. In my infographic, I looked at every volunteering opportunity available through AIESEC. I point out three popular programs that AIESEC offers. I then point out the fact that there are 3,283 different programs to choose from. I also have a QR code that, when scanned, brings you to the AIESEC opportunity portal. In my video, I interview someone about how she found the perfect program for herself and her interests.

Volunteering and studying abroad is a great thing to experience in college, but can also be expensive. When searching for a program and preparing to study abroad, it is important to consider all of the financial options that you have.
